Application Process

The online application for the  Certified Nursing Assistant course will be available during the application cycle.  通读所有的信息是很重要的 prior to applying.

Application Dates:

• June 10 - June 30: applicants who apply during this application cycle will begin the 如获选，可于秋季学期选修课程.
• September 28 - October 19: applicants who apply during this application cycle will 如果被选中，在冬季课间开始课程.

注:申请人必须年满18岁. 护理助理课程临床站点 require anyone visiting their facility for clinical rotations to be 18 years or older.  In order to successfully complete the Certified Nursing Assistant course, you must 完成课程的理论部分和临床部分.

Step #1:

Follow these basic directions for scanning documents to your online application:

• Open the sealed official High School transcript(s) that you will be uploading to your C.N.A. application

• Follow the scanner manufacturer's directions to scan each document to your computer or USB drive

Follow these basic directions for uploading documents to your online application:

• When prompted on the application to upload your documents marked "Drop Files here 或“选择文件”，单击此按钮

Step #2: Do not complete these steps until you have received an email from Pasadena 城市学院的链接到下面的表格.

• Complete the Health Sciences C.N.A. Health Requirements form.

• Complete a California Department of Public Health Certified Nurse Assistant Initial Application CDPH 283B form. 

Step #3:

Health Requirements Overview

The Certified Nursing Assistant course requires the following health requirements:

• Physical examination completed within the last 6 months of entrance to the course.  Must be able to perform the basic physical requirements of the entry level position including: stooping, lifting 23-35 pounds, pulling, standing, walking, practicing proper body mechanics, pushing occupied beds, wheelchairs or gurneys, bathing, turning 移动病人，操作小型设备.
• Have good physical and mental health.

A Health Requirements form will be given to qualified applicants who are randomly 被选为有条件的课程学员.

Selection Process

Students who complete Step 1 will be randomly selected for a conditional seat in the course. Students who are randomly selected will be sent an email with the necessary 必须在截止日期前完成的表格和文件.  Applicants who complete the required documents by the deadline will be given permission to register for the course. 未能完成所需的文件意味着您将无法 to register for the course.

All applicants will be notified of their status prior to the start of the class by email.  Additionally, non-selected applicants will be notified when the class is full.

Course Completion

Upon successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant course, students will be awarded a Certificate of Completion and be eligible to take the Examination for the California Nurse Assistant Certification offered by an approved state testing agency for a fee. 地区检测中心或美国红十字会是合格的 agencies that will administer the competency exam for a fee of approximately $100.

Transcript Evaluation

If you are a student with foreign high school transcripts, you must have your high school transcripts evaluated by one of the following three companies before applying. High School must be equivalent to graduation from a United States accredited High School.
